Bluebonnets in Texas = TRADITION!

We headed to Ennis (Bluebonnet Capital of TX & Gran's hometown) Sunday with Gran. According to the Visitors Bureau we were probably a week or two early for peak season. But we did see a couple of good patches and got to drive by the farmhouse where Gran grew up and the home in town they moved to later. We also got to visit a park that I remember playing on as a child when I would visit my grandmother. I swear it had the same equipment - basic swingset, super tall metal slide, and old wooden climbing fort. P2 discovered the joy of the super slide, and P1 learned how to twist the swing up to make it a spin ride.

Here are the bluebonnet pics. Thanks, Gran, for a great afternoon!
